<description>it amazes me that blogs are not yet entirely mainstream among toronto writers and journalists - that they have to resort to emailing their comments rather than posting it in the blog themselves.

without having blog comments posted by the visitors themselves, seems to defeat the concept of blogging in general.

but, that's just me. the blog owner has full discretion on how he or she wants visitor comments to appear in their blog.

in addition, here's another inspirational keynote address by another successful college dropout you failed to mention in your speech:

		<description>Hermie's note:
Here's an emailed comment from Jason Bagni, radio host of Boses Pinoy, Rogers Channel 951, (or www.1610am.com). Posted with permission:

Hi Kuya Hermie,

I read the whole thing from your blog. It is an inspiring and challenging piece. May I have your permission to quote some parts of it on our radio show this coming Wednesday?

<description>Hermie's note: Here's another comment emailed to me, from Faye Arellano, writer/journalist from Toronto. This made my day:

Congratulations and thanks for sharing, Hermie. I especially like the part:

Some of the individuals and institutions you will encounter will not be fair to you and will treat you unjustly. Some of them you will see blatantly victimize others. You should have the courage to fight them for the benefit of those whose rights are trampled upon. You should always be on the side of those who are victimized and oppressed.

Sooo true and it takes a leader to take on the enormous challenge. I'm glad that we have people like yourself and Mila to champion the
cause on behalf of the marginalized in our community. Cheers! Faye</description>

<description>Hermie's note: Here is a comment from Nestor Arellano, a journalist in Toronto, Canada, which he emailed to me. He gave permission to have this posted in this blog:

Hi Hermie,

This is wonderful.

I have often wondered when can graduating youths get to hear a commencement speech that has some relevance to the things that are actually happening around them and events that have a direct impact on their lives.

Kudos to you for having the guts to speak out.
